Real Gangstas Don’t Play….

19 11 2008

So my boy Face put me on to the intro off The Clipse’s new mixtape Road ‘Till The Casket Drops.  This is the precursor to the highly anticipated album Til The Casket Drops.  Now I’ve been a Clipse fan since ’01 when Grindin’ dropped, I mean who wasn’t but, unfortunately 2008 proved to be a tough year for the VA crack spitting duo.  They released an awesome mixtape with now defunct group, The Re-Up Gang but made a huge mistake, when stepping up to the plate to potentially produce a classic album they just recycled their mixtape tracks and dumped them over new instrumentals that were mediocre at best.  Along with pushing a single that wasn’t the strongest track on the album and a music video that left much to be desired and a failed rap war with one of the most popular rappers in years, things started looking bleek for re-up.  Ultimately unhappy with the direction of everything regarding their album, in September Re-Up Gang member Sandman disassociated himself from the group voicing his disgust with the way things were handled.  All of these short-comings have almost made The Clipse irrelevant to hip-hop listeners and disappointed many of their fans.  Now with the upcoming release of Road ‘Til The Casket Drops there is new found hope, the intro gives you a taste of the crack rocks that await in the rest of the tracks and honestly I can’t wait till I get my hands on it.  The Clipse have an uphill climb but they’re more than capable of bouncing back and fulfilling their expectations and realizing their potential.  So here’s the intro….

The Clipse- Intro ( Road \’Till The Casket Drops )

I was searching through a couple folders and found a track I’ve yet to post, I’ve listened to it only a couple times but I think it’s pretty dope enjoy.

Peace and farewell to all my readers!

God from the machine…

10 09 2008

Yeah I know it’s been a while since my last update but work has been INSANE! Now I do have quite a few BANGERS for you guys it’s pretty fucking crazy actually so, I’ll keep the words short and the music heavy. It’s been a while since Justice has released any new original material and I was starting to think they were just riding the success of their first album and simply content with churning out remixes in a pretty saturated scene. I was fucking wrong they recently did a Dior Homme fashion show and previewed some new material and as expected the internet has gone crazy and now they release this series of eargasms, Planisphere. Now these tracks sound straight out of a Devil May Cry sequel or a kick ass neo-horror film, using heavy guitars and characteristic fat bass lines and crunched synths, Justice serves up some serious heat. Well enough talk here it goes!

Justice- Planisphere ( Part 1 )

Speaking of the fusion of fashion and electro, here’s a mix thrown together by the Moses and Jesus of French House music,Daft Punk for  Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer ’08 show.  I know I’m late on it but better late than never right?
If you were able to decode the lyrics to M.I.A.’s break out single Bucky Done Gun then you’re aware that shorty is a freak!  This song is another reminder that she seems to know her way around a bedroom and that she’s not shy about it.
It looks like the blogosphere ( God I hate that fucking word ) is buzzing to the tune of a new guy on the block.  Fake Blood an anonymous Remixer/DJ/Producer is pumping out some pretty decent tracks lately.  Now I have a hunch that Fake Blood is none other than Black Ghosts’ Theo Keating . Here are a couple stand out tracks that I’ve been digging lately.
Well I think I dropped a damn good post on you guys I can’t forget the ladies here are HCSY so here they are!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM…..Meagan Good and Eva Longoria two women even Jesus would pop a boner to.

Well guys again sorry for the hiatus but I hope I’ve redeemed myself DEUS EX MACHINA OUT!

It’s bigger than hip-hop…

27 08 2008

So lately there’s been a decent influx of good hip-hop, either that or my standards have been lowered significantly, hopefully it isn’t the latter.  Giving cats like The Cool Kids and Mickey Factz ( who to me has a striking resemblance to Jazzy Jeff  ) a listen solidifies my belief in hip-hop.  Now, while I’m not calling these dudes the next Biggies, Jays and Pacs, they are making waves in a pretty stagnant pool of music we call hip-hop.  Amongst a few rappers making blogs all over the net “post-happy”, these two acts are bringing a refreshing breeze of fun rap that isn’t associated with some ridiculous dance, guttural sounds or some sort of super hero.  Fresh, innovative song concepts from Mickey and old-school, punch-line ridden, bass heavy bangers  from The Cool Kids are undeniable head nodders and ample ringtone fodder.  I’ll limit this post and not get too biographical on you, there are plenty of other blogs and myspace pages dedicated to that shit.  Here are some bangers that showcase these potential “next big things” talent.

Okay, next order of business is something I haven’t touched on in a while…. or ever for that matter, MUSIC VIDEOS!  I know I’ve posted Common’s video for Go but that wasn’t really “new”,  KanYe West just released a new video for Good Morning.  Directed by The Louis Vuitton Don himself and animated by the legendary Takashi Murakami, this video reflects ‘Ye’s recent obsession with all things Japanese.  One of the better videos I’ve seen this year the artwork is simply stunning and it provides a bit of comic relief, while he may be a cry baby and a self-absorbed ego maniac, you have to respect this man for his awesome work, shit I do.

Well this wraps things up pretty much of course I can’t forget the lovely ladies PEEP!

OOOOOOOH boy I wanna get all up in those Depends adult undergarments…..
